Lewisburg Recreation Center


The Lewisburg Recreation Center is a 70,000 sq ft facility located on 81 acres. We have 2 basketball courts with a 1/12 mile elevated walking track above. Just outside the gymnasium is the pro shop and snack bar, which accommodates both the gym participants as well as golfers taking advantage of the Ewell Butler Golf Course. This city-owned golf course is a par 36, 9 hole course, with 4 sets of tees, 2,887 yards, and a practice range.

There are two meeting rooms housed in the Recreation Center. The large meeting room seats up to 300 and is equipped with sound system with wireless microphones, audio/ video system with projector, and internet access. The small meeting room holds up to 50 occupants and is internet accessible. Both rooms each have a kitchen for catering purposes.

The fitness room comes complete with: treadmills, ellipticals, recumbent bikes, various weight machines, and free weights. There is a large aerobics room, as well as, two racquetball/volleyball courts.

Seamlessly integrating indoor activity with outdoor, this facility maintains 4 swimming pools. The natatorium consists of a: 120,000 gallon, 6 lane, lap pool, a 20,000 gallon therapy pool, and a 2,000 gallon spa, all open year round. The outdoor pool (300,000 gallon) opens Memorial Day for the summer.

Outside accommodations also include: 4 tennis courts, 1/2 mile paved track, Exploration Station playground, sand volleyball court, restrooms, and 2 covered picnic shelters.
