Animal Welfare

The Lewisburg Police Department and Marshall County have partnered together to provide animal control services. Each agency provides one full-time Animal Welfare Officer. The Lewisburg Welfare Control Officer is Willard Cates.

Animal Welfare hours are 7 am to 5 pm Monday thru Friday.

To report stray or nuisance animals anytime call Animal Welfare Dispatch at (931) 359-7215. Please be advised that unless there is an imminent danger to life or property Animal Welfare Officers will only respond during normal business hours.

Animal Welfare FAQ

Dog owners must ensure that their dogs have a current rabies vaccination and be registered. The dog must display tags reflecting current vaccination and registration.

It is unlawful for owners to allow their dogs to run at large. Anytime the dog is off the property of its owner, the dog must be on a leash.
