The Lewisburg Fire Department currently maintains a Class 3 ISO rating. This rating is created and recognized by the National Insurance Services Office. The personnel of the Lewisburg Fire Department and many other agencies including Lewisburg Water Department, Marshall County 911, and City Administration contribute to this rating. The Class 3 rating is utilized as an incentive for recruiting businesses and homeowners to the City of Lewisburg. These benefits forwarded to the businesses and citizens of Lewisburg are made possible by the departments listed above.
"Get Alarmed, TN!" is a grant-funded fire safety education and smoke alarm installation program administered by the State Fire Marshal's Office (SFMO). Launched in November 2012, the program distributes fire safety education materials and 10-year sealed battery smoke alarms to participating fire departments. The fire departments then deliver the education material and install smoke alarms in at-risk homes across the state. Since 2012 the program has accounted for a documented 324 lives saved in the state by smoke detectors.
