Instructor & Class Description:
I have a BFA with an emphasis in drawing. I believe that drawing is a learned skill that can be developed with practice. You don’t have to have natural talent to draw well. Mine will be six-week course covering the fundamentals of drawing and real-time instruction. We will learn the difference between contour drawing and value drawings and learn different techniques for creating value. We will learn to develop the skill of drawing what we see from life and from pictures. Other basics will be taught such as perspective, scale, the illusion of making your drawings appear 3D, and understanding different drawing tools. In addition to learning the skill of drawing what we see, emphasis will be placed on expression and the pleasure of making art.
