Requirements

  • Resident or have employment in the City of Lewisburg (this will be verified)
  • At least 21 years of age
  • NO ARREST RECORD (minor traffic violations are excluded) (this will be verified) THIS INCLUDES MISDEMEANOR CITATIONS, if you have one, please don’t apply unless your record had been expunged no matter how long ago it occurred.
  • Able to attend 90% of the scheduled sessions to receive a certificate of completion

Classes begin promptly at 6:00 PM (Thursday nights) and conclude at 9:00 PM at Police Headquarters located at 101 Water Street in Lewisburg.

Participants in the CPA will learn about the intricacies of police work through the prospective of a variety of guest speakers, including members of the police department’s various specialized components.

This course involves traveling to satellite locations within Lewisburg on select course nights. You must provide your own transportation to these locations.

IMPORTANT: While completion of this course gives citizens an understanding of the workings of the Lewisburg Police Department, it does not make a participant a certified law enforcement officer, nor is it designed to train citizens to perform law enforcement duties.
